urban wilderness

This is one of my most favourite patches of nearby urban wilderness. Various thistles, ragwort and Buddleja. A small, colourful haven for wildlife. If you look closely you can spot one of the Cinnabar Moth caterpillars. It was a bit miserable today so there were just the usual hardy bees and flies around. 

My last day of work today before I am taking a two weeks off for the summer. It's a bit strange since I have been working from home for quite a while now. We've got some plans to visit friends and family locally. I am looking forward to a few weeks off.
