Screaming Tree

We enjoyed a visit to a drizzly Dawyck,, heading for the exit just as rain began in earnest. Having enjoyed coffee and cake outdoors, our walk took us up the White Wood to the top of the garden and along to the Dynamo Pond then back past the chapel.
Main photo: I think this was a diseased tree we noted in 2018 - either that or the gardeners have a sense of humour.
Extra 1: the grasses were at their best, and common spotted orchids in profusion plus ?figwort/.
Extra 2; a poignant memorial bench along the top path has, along the rear of the backrest, a row of tributes from, I presume, his grandchildren. He must have been the best grandfather ever.
