Slimy

The butterwort has continued, in a workmanlike manner, to consume tiny flies by sticking them to its leaves and digesting them - it's the healthiest looking of our carnivores at the moment. I was pleased to see it flowering again, so reached over to turn the pot to get the flower in the frame. It must have been the first time that I actually touched a leaf, and far from being sticky, which I expected, the leaves are extremely slimy! Mucus-like. Eeugh!
