Fast Castle
Took a walk down to Fast Castle on Bewirkshire. It's a steep narrow path next to an even steeper drop to the sea. Last time we visited over 8 years ago we turned back once the castle was in view. Today we ventured to the bridge that connects to the entrance of what remains of this false castle that would lure ships in to steal their goods. We didn't venture past this to look for the Spanish gold that is believed to be hidden, as the entrance is very tricky to nogiate and we aired on the side of caution. My husband learned about this hidden gem when his Grandmother gave him a book about the treasure at Fast Castle which was written by her brother.
