They can't all be doing a Ferris Bueller?!

W..w..w..wait a second! One lousy inch of fluffy snow and the entire district's high school seniors get bused to the park to ski for their double period of Phys Ed? On a Wednesday? Back in my day, we either ran circles around the athletic field till we passed out or circles in the gym, passing those 100lb rubber balls till our arms fell off.

While the concept of an inch or two of fresh powdery snow every day has some appeal for keeping everything looking fresh and pristine, it has less appeal for having to keep walk-and driveways clear to prevent ice from forming.

Revolutionary idea: bus the high school seniors to the neighborhoods to shovel the snow for their double period of Phys Ed!
