Cricket returns to Chobham

Walked past the village cricket ground this afternoon and I was delighted to see a  match taking place. I watched a couple of overs. The batsmen looked well in, scoring freely and hitting boundaries, although one lofted a ball that the fielder should have caught but dropped. Couldn't stay to watch more but, given that the 3rd day of the Test Match st Old  Trafford was lost to rain, it was good to have live  cricket  being played elsewhere in the country.
