Cowden Japanese Gardens
Ms H and Mrs C had planned to take me to the Japanese Gardens at Cowden near Dollar for father's day but lockdown put that off, then we booked a visit for Ms H's birthday until high winds put that off 2 weeks ago, but finally we got there today, and it was worth the wait.
The gardens were created in 1908 and were open to the public until 1955, vandalised in 1963 and a restoration project began in 2014. They reckon they are about 50% done but opened the gardens meantime in 2019.
It was a lovely day to seem and the gardens were lovely. The extra photo shows various views, and you can just see construction of a tea house by the loch in one view. I am sure we will be back!
Coincidentally, my OneDrive photo app is currently reminding me of our trip to Japan/Hawaii 2 years ago... ahh... I wonder when we'll feel safe enough to do something like that again... hmmm.
