Whistle face

I spotted this face in the woods of Streatham Common – someone has had fun!

Also spotted was a caterpillar of the red green carpet moth (see extra), which was perched on a stone on the woodland floor. It took a while to find out what it was, but a comment on a forum that said sticklike caterpillars are usually moths helped a great deal.

I was knackered today due to a series of loud 5am "MIAOW"s from Juno. This was no hero activity, but a call for breakfast. For four years we've been lucky with Juno because he's not an early riser. Maybe this has changed. Our last cat, Whisky, was a 5am breakfaster. Paws crossed that it's just a phase. However, the neighbours upstairs are awake at that time so we think he wakes up with them due to his cat hearing and then decides that we, too, should be up breakfasting and going out for a bit of exercise. You'd think Juno would know us well by now as that is very much not on the cards.

Our Friday night treat was a take-away from the Thai Duck Deli, the first from there in four months and it was delicious.
