Large Skipper

We had lunch with my BIL, nephew and niece today and it's the first time we've seen them since lock-down began.  The time went quickly with so much news to catch up on, and seeing them made life feel a little more normal.

I'm still not seeing many butterflies, neither the numbers or the varieties; when I went out late this afternoon all I saw were Meadow Browns and a couple of Skippers.   I hope this year is just a fluke and that they'll be back again next year.
