The Lozarithm Lens

Diary Blip (Saturday 18th July 2020)

A day off from the roofers! They will be back to work on my neighbours' wall, so I haven't put the container pots and bench table back in the front yard just yet, and there are a few small patches to be touched up that I suspect may now be left for me to do, but the cottage looks better and, more importantly, is no longer at risk of collapse, so the eye-watering expense was hopefully worthwhile.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Irma Thomas - Long After Tonight Is All Over (recorded August 1964, New Orleans LA)
This Bacharach-David song was first recorded in 1964 by Jimmy Radcliffe. His version was always one of the final three-before-eight played at the Wigan Northern Soul club, whereas Irma Thomas's recording was not released until 1992. Dusty Springfield also recorded a version of the song in 1965.
