Uh Oh

I was at the Marsh in the morning and was searching for the Virginia Rail that I know has two chicks now.  I was thrilled to finally see her emerge from the reeds to forage for food.  Literally, 30 seconds after she appeared, this was the sight as a mink high-tailed it into the reeds behind her.  Two frames later, is the extra, as the rail high-tailed it back into the reeds.

Heard nothing, saw nothing more.  Hopefully the chicks were safely tucked away and Mr Mink went to fish elsewhere....
