We've lost our newsagent

I ventured into town this morning briefly for the first time in ages. I got a shock when I saw that our newsagent has closed. It's a sad story. The photo isn't very clear because of the reflection of the shops opposite but the notice they have put on their door reads:

"Due to bushfires and Covid financial impacts we have no choice but to close permanently. Thanks to our customers for your support the last year and sorry for inconvenience."


At some time in the past the proprietors had a dream of owning their own newsagency. How very sad.
