Union Street

I ventured in to town today for a badly needed haircut. There are new traffic restrictions in Union Street essentially blocking off the bus lanes to allow folk more space to walk on the pavements and road. In addition the area between Market St and Bridge St has been pedestrianised.
I suppose the idea is to encourage more folk to shop in town, however on today’s evidence there is still a long way to go to get back to a semblance of normal.
