Watching the young...

at the nursery pools, these Greylag Geese were very alert. There were at least a hundred adults and Goslings. The Goslings were on the river and the adults, very alert, keeping guard on the banks. Lovely to see in an area where no one goes. 
The extra was a Ringlet on a Thistle.
