Shoes for gardening, indoors, walking, rainy days, for smart use, for muddy days, to be super-comfortable, for being in the water...

As I take the picture I'm standing in the doorway, as if coming into the house. To the left is the living area, to the right the steps up to our room, sometimes called the tiled stove room / the tv / the yoga room, and our bedroom.
All those shoes belong to me and HarlingDarling. With such varying weather and so many activities it seems we need a wide range of footwear. (The winter footwear is away for the summer.)
On the floor is also a cobble stone for holding the door open, in a nice cloth bag so it's easy to move and doesn't chip the paint. There's also a fire extinguisher, just in case. A bit higher is a brass hook, waiting to go up, a basket of hats and gloves, the hammock, a collection of jackets, suitable for all weathers, and a collection of shoulder bags, mostly made by HD and all used by her.
Yesterday there were another 4 pairs of shoes there but our visitors returned home today so we are alone for a while now. It was lovely to have visitors, and now it's lovely to be on our own - that's the good life.
