Last nights effort

I ventured out with great attention to Capture Neowise with a local land. mark on a hill over looking my. home time Forfar but after lugging two cameras two tripods to the location I had in mind it was obvious that the land mark was in the wrong location to get the shot . So I had lug my gear further down the path to another location that was facing north west. When I found a clearing I set up both cameras in the hope of getting a sighting. Unfortunately it was cloudy and I could not see the Big Dipper as my source of what direction to look in for the comet. So I faffed for a while until the clouds cleared. Now I was told to bring binoculars but having MND holding heavy binoculars is a no no. I hoped I would fined with my 100-400 lens but it was like finding a needle in a hay stack . So I set up my wide angle lens and stuck it on 60 sec exposure and hit the button in hope of seeing it . True enough there it was. I took another couple of shots but this was the best I got ....no epice shot but mine no the less, The clouds rolled back in so that was that, packed up the gear and headed home back to bed 2.30 am.
