After yesterday's adventure to explore the world beyond Edinburgh we went to the Botanics today. It was lovely, in spite of the occasional shower. Plenty of lovely flowers. We did miss the glasshouses.

Afterwards we went to Stockbridge to get some glasses. Stockbridge is lovely - but what a mess with the gas works (fair-enough) and all the traffic. Stockbridge is surely a prime location for pedestrianisation. Just imagine all this space use for cafes. Bus and bikes could still get through. Ah well, maybe we will get this at some stage. For now it is just a terrible mess.
