A Clonker

Grabbed a days fishing, was pretty uneventful morning with hand sized "skimmers" and roach coming slowly to pellet on the pole. Things then went very quiet, there must have been something hatching subsurface as there were some big boils. I changed the float and hook length and flicked it at a boil "bang" thirty minutes later I managed to slide the above lump into the landing net! Just over 7lbs landed on a size 14 hook and 5lb hook length. Happy chappie tonight  :)
