Burleigh castle

For many years I passed Burleigh castle and never had the time, or inclination, to stop and investigate.
 Now thanks to coravid-19 I am discovering hidden gems such of this of Scottish history.
 
Scotland has over 2,000 castles, some just listed in historical records. 
This one on the outskirts of Milnathort has a chequered history
 
Its back-story is more interesting than the ruins itself and it well deserves its place in Undiscovered Scotland.
