Filigreed

This damselfly came into the hot house near the evening and landed on the lettuce. I closed the door and opened them wide next morning.
Today I discovered that it had never moved and ended its life right there on the lettuce.
That raises the question whether a damselfly has to eat at night? Or can it survive while not eating for a night? Maybe it just wanted to show off its beauty.
