Purple loosestrife

J volunteers at the Blackleach country park on a Tuesday morning.  So I took a stroll when I went to pick him up.  The intention was to try and capture some dragonfly images - but there were only a few tiny damselflies flying - and none where I could get close enough for an image without falling in the lake/down the embankment.

When I was an ecology student on an exchange programme in Minnesota, one of my friends had a summer job researching purple loosestrife as it was almost as invasive in the wetlands there as Himalayan  balsam is here.  So it reminds me of that time.
