this is made by timorous beasties who design fabric and wallpaper and other household things using clever twists on traditional themes and other general cleverness. they've got a shop down the road which i always mean to go in.

this was taken while trawling the west end in search of a place to eat. despite having loads of cafes and restaurants, somedays everything is full to bursting. pay day perhaps? ended up happily in the arms of somes moules frites.

spent the afternoon with c and her army of small children (the last pair were more than planned..). oggled the 11 month olds and cajoled the older ones to the park.

am preoccupied with the ideas of belonging and community. i love the bonds of friends, neighbours and acquaintances, although i feel that i havent quite got enough life to fit it all in at the moment. but at other times, the worlds we occupy can seem very small and introverted. makes me feel glad to work.
