I begin by weeding the cabbage bed. It’s been a couple of weeks and there’s loads of couch grass - which is slow work.

Close by, Nick has laid out three marrow plants in the manure pile. A tripod of sticks fit them to grow up. Neatly cut sward around them. They look beautiful.
