Bog lands

Arrived in ullapool just before 1. Space on the freight ferry so heading over to Lewis early.

A stunning sunrise on the minch with sleeping truckers and tradesman.

Headed to eco son house still asleep so went for a wee walk. Met a white tailed eagle really close and could hear the air travel through its wings.

A snooze in the car and eco son woke me with his new puppy.

Catch up and headded to work and I headed to a wee hill.

No paths just soft spongy peatland. Bell heather blooming in patches and think I saw a couple of great yellow bumble bees. A greenshank guarded it territory and I followed it to avoid disturbing it young.

Summit attained a sunken trig pout with an eagle feather beside it. Ravens checked me out.

Sadly litter and quad bike churned damage from the locals so only hung around to pick the litter.

Returned attempting to find drier ground and successfully spotted more bees.

Food shop.

Tidy up and make soup.

A long beach walk with eco son and dogs which was brilliant.

Dinner and Catch up.
