A visit from the daughter to the garden - and from the daughter’s daughter too. And we both got good cuddles - I even got to carry her round a bit of the garden (she was captivated by the figs, clever girl) though with the daughter’s words ringing in my ears, “don’t drop her”! She’s turning into an engaging wee thing and quite sweet looking too though of course there could be some bias there.
Much much later, we finished Mildred Pierce which just got worse and worse. We were lured by Bradshaw’s review from 2011: "This glittering new Mildred Pierce, which features Kate Winslet in the title role, is frankly the crystal meth of quality TV: instantly and scarily addictive.” And makes you feel sick, regret the wasted time and wish you’d never started, I should add.
