Back to school, sort of.

With the sun almost setting and a collie that was stir crazy, it seemed a good idea to walk down to the old Kaituna Schoolhouse this evening to expend some energy and get some shots.

Tonight on the way home I picked up my latest lens purchase from Trade Me, a nice old Sigma 28m 2.8 "Super-Mini", so I chucked it onto the D300 and went to see what it was like.

Sharp from 5.6 through to 8 I reckon, and quite nice wide open and at f4 was the verdict. I think this old manual lens might just make it into my landscape kit, what's more it also has a handy macro function for foliage etc. I think it might get some use...

Another late one (Facetiming friends overseas will do that) but I'm not complaining as it's good to catch up.
