Save the Elm

In the extra:  the sign reads "Save the Elm" and the post introduces an American Elm...which is nowhere to be seen.   One did survive Dutch elm disease, but not the neglect of the park system.  You've got to be tough around here...The willows in the middle now completely cover a reed tunnel built by boy scouts.  I enjoyed my walk here nonetheless in between visits to the library and Aldi.

Earlier in the day, a male goldfinch kindly posed on the hemlock in the backyard for my main blip.
