Starting again
Very good to see Frank and Rena who came for a coffee this morning - the first time we've met up in months. Once upon a time, Before Covid, Frank and MrM played in the jazz band in Berwick once a month and, together with the other band members' partners and friends, Rena and I used to sit and listen whilst enjoying a drink or two.
In the evening, a walk along the lanes with MrM. On the way we passed the site where the Ad Gefrin whisky distillery is to be built. The work has recommenced at last. The derelict building has been demolished, much of its stone is now in piles at the back of the site ready for re-use, and the building work, originally scheduled to start in the spring, will hopefully get underway now. It was hoped that the distillery would open next summer, but maybe that's being a little optimistic under the circumstances...
