Abstract in Shottery

We went for my normal walk to Shottery this afternoon.  On the way we met Martyn, our builder and man-of-all-trades who has been working on all our house improvements over the years, his longest job being our current house. He has a job painting the windows of one of Shottery's large houses.  We had a good chat and catch-up on family experiences during the pandemic.

On the way home I took a couple of pics, but nothing special.  We almost tripped over a baby sparrow on the narrow track between Cottage Lane and Church Lane.  We had a little chat with him, pointing out that a pussy cat lived just a short way away.  Eventually he hopped off to the side into the undergrowth to await his mum.
