Mine workings
A walk in the rain up Carrock Fell, one of the most important areas in Britain for mining, industrial archeology and mineral veins. We found quartz, lead, copper, wolfram (tungsten ore) and arsenic, all very interesting. By the time we'd searched and scrabbled around for hours, the sun re-appeared and it was time to find a pub for tea/beer.
