Another dismally wet morning. It didn't matter to us, as we were indoors doing our Singalong-to-Zoom session. We had a few hiccups with the technology this morning, but not enough for me to be let off another solo slot - they come round every three weeks or so now that our numbers are down.
After lunch, the sun suddenly appeared. The garden was still too wet to weed, so we got out the map to see if we could find a new walk that didn't involve driving far. We ended up exploring to the south of the town, and discovered a network of paths radiating out from the end of the cul-de-sac just a hundred yards down the hill from us. We had a splendid view of the Cheviot (above). It's a very good year for rosebay-willow herb, as you can see. The only person we saw was our retired GP, yomping along in short shorts and wellies, she zoomed past us and disappeared over the hill. We went at a more leisurely pace, and I had to keep stopping (to take photographs, obviously).
