Connections

This pair of swans are so used to human traffic  they accept the offerings of grass thrown to them by these children. ( The parents were standing nearby).
 
During my daily walk I have taken to listening to TED talks and there is a recurring theme since the pandemic “ be kind to one another” “ connections…. We are all connected to one another on this planet… that is all we have got”.
 
Even Gordon Ramsey talking in a podcast tonight said that the pandemic had forced him to slow down. No longer jetting around he world from his home in California, next door to Stevie Wonder, and his house in Cornwall he has been forced to spend  more time with his children than he had  ever before. And he finally got to know them!
 
One speaker a few days ago even went so far as to suggest that there was a case for making the whole world goes into lockdown every couple of years to force us to rethink our place on the planet, a bit like re-booting a computer.
 
Now that’s a thought.
