New growth

The febchallenge for today is "something red in nature". This is Orkney. In February. There is NOTHING red in nature at the moment, or so I thought. I found this little plant with the tiniest little bits of new growth on it, just poking out of the snow which had fallen overnight. A walk along the beach later and I saw some more red things, but nothing to match this really...
