Sunflowers

A clump of wild sunflowers grew on the second allotment plot we share with Nicole; They are now taller than me and in full bloom. The bees from the beehives just outside the fence are loving these and the lavender field just beyond although there are now fewer flowers on the plots.

Tomato season however is now in full swing and I ate the first Coeur de Boeuf today with fresh goat cheese from the market. We will also have to find how to best use all these courgettes which seem to turn into a marrow if leave them for an hour!

I invited a woman I met at yoga yesterday for coffee: they did the same as us and just moved to the village after falling in love with it, planning to work from home. A promising new friendship!
