Between seasons....

now, birds have nested, seeds have set, although there is still some activity nothing like the frenzy and frantic urgency of May and June.
It was certainly calm down on the river path first thing, just the occasional Dipper or Sandpiper and Willow Warblers and Wrens in the undergrowth.
All very pleasant though as later it became very hot and sunny again.
Enjoyed several short forays to look at the beautiful flora near home and to watch my neighbours busy at their hives. They said they were sweltering inside them!
