Tony Curtis
There are two problems with my hair as it grows. The first is that my hair is thinning on top, so it looks a bit crap as it gets longer. The second - and more aesthetically challenging issue - is that it the hair just above my ears starts to get very wiry and curly, giving me a look that is reminiscent of Christopher Lloyd in 'Back To The Future'.
During the lockdown, the first problem turned out to be less of an issue than I expected and the second was entirely mitigated by the Minx's expertise with the clippers. However, the time when a trip to the barber's would become a necessity arrived and passed a couple of weeks ago. Today, though, I was able to go and get sorted.
Older viewers will remember the joke about the chap who goes to barber's and asks to have his hair cut in the style of Tony Curtis. Once the task was complete, the customer complained that his hair looked nothing like Tony Curtis's, to which the barber replied "Well, it would if he came here." This is reminiscent of the redundancy of my barber's requests as to how I want my hair done but luckily he always does a good job.
I was hoping to take a nice self-portrait to display his skills and I did actually take a better photo than this but it always amuses me how just a slight raise of my eyebrow renders any picture immediately demonic.
