Agapanthus

Today it was the turn of sorting the kitchen drawers, not a big job but very satisfying.
Then l cut the grass in the back garden and one thing led to another and the next thing l knew l was hacking back at the early clematis, a job that needs doing every year and one l usually do in the autumn. Filled the large waste bag in no time because l then discovered the ivy was back creeping up a wall where l don’t want it to be.
Infact l don’t want any ivy in my garden at all.
It was growing behind trellis so that didn’t help, managed about 90% of it but the last bit was beyond me, l will need some help with that.
Then started cutting back the foliage on another wall and filled another bag.
Decided to call it a day and take the green waste bags to the tip which was quite busy but l was 9th in the queue and their are four places at a time so it was only a few minutes.
Got home and realised l hadn’t thought about dinner so went to the local chippy for a light bite ( just a few chips) and mushy peas.
I don’t know if it was because l had missed lunch but l judged them as some of the best l’d ever had.
We queue to one side of the shop and a bell rings when it’s your turn, very orderly and we all wore our masks.
Feeling a bit more energised l cut the front lawn, wanted it done as there is a chance of rain tomorrow.
I’ve three agapanthus, two blue and one white, they are just coming into flower so I’ve moved them into prime position, that’s the joy of growing them in pots.
