went for a long walk along the back road between Dollar and Tillicoultry which passes the site of the former Harvieston Castle and you can still see some amazing trees in what would have been the castle gardens.  Immense sequoias with trunks easily 10 feet across, in between araucarias, Scots pines, copper beeches and elms - astonishingly tall and wide.  there was one little info board with a photo from the 1840s.  Felt like a trip into dinosaur country
