A Fab Day
I was up early this morning as I planned to go down to the beach for low tide at 8.30am, but it was very cloudy so I didn't bother, the photos wouldn't be as impressive as those on a sunny day. But it meant that I was organised and I went to the supermarket relatively early, and there were no queues.
Today was the first day of face coverings being mandatory in shops as well as other enclosed places, and I felt very comfortable as everyone was adhering to the rules. There were a few elderley people who obviously didn't know how to wear their masks though and had them covering their mouths but not their noses.
I then had a Dr's appointment, and again face masks were compulsory, and when I arrived I had to speak to the receptionist through the intercom and when she let me in, the waiting room was very sparse with only a few chairs very distanced from one another, and I was the only one in there to start with.
This afternoon I drove to Hove Lagoon to meet Louise and Marianna, and we walked along the seafront to meet Amanda and Colette for a distanced picnic and catch up on the beach. We had a lovely couple of hours, it was sunny with a warm breeze and the waves were crashing, so it was fun watching people jumping the waves. Of all my photos today, this 'Fab' inflatable lolly caught my eye, and I love the faces of the young boys.
Louise and I left the others at 4pm to walk back to where I'd parked the car, as it's about an hours' walk, and I wanted to be home in time to make the dinner before our DJ date night in the Palace.
