Luke was up early this morning to switch on the oven to bake his loaf.

Sarah was catching a train from Dumfries at 9am so I took her into town. The station was quite quiet, not like the busy Saturdays of past times with folk crowding onto the train to Carlisle to visit the shops.

Luke's train wasn't until 12 so we filled the time by walking from Dock Park to Kingholm Quay. It was drizzly to start with but then the sun came out and the weather turned quite warm. Here is Luke on the Suspension Bridge, originally built for mill workers to cross the river.

So..two down and the house feels a lot emptier already...but today is Joe's 26th birthday and we have just had a nice meal with him, cooked by D :-)

*I've no idea what this means
