Convolvulus Pluricaulis

My dear departed mum waged single-handed war on Convolvulus, grabbing it vengefully and dragging it out of borders, hedges and just about everywhere she happened to see it.  I do that too because my mum did it and because it is a very invasive weed.  Yet the flowers are very beautiful.  We had a lovely day, gentle work in the garden and on other small projects. We had a swim and aperitifs with the neighbours.  I marinaded lamb in lemon juice and olive oil with fresh herbs from the garden; rosemary, thyme, lemon thyme, sage and bay, all ground up with sea salt in the mortar and pestle. Barbecued with veggies it was lovely.
