Crepes and Clarinets
The day started with my four lessons, all of which went surprisingly well, even the one with the STMG. Apparently complimenting them is the way to get them to do work. My private lesson was cancelled again which was pretty annoying, it winds me up that they keep messing me around. Money is money though. I was meant to spend the afternoon being productive. I spent the afternoon on the internet and napping.
At 5.3o I met Maryline outside school. We went to her parents house to do some work, and I spent a bit of time with Florimond, her seven year old son who is incredibly cute. Not much work got done among the excitement of a 7 year, two grandparents with Toulouse accents I could barely understand and crepe making. Tant pis. I had a great time, I forgot what it was like to be in a busy family home.
After dinner, Maryline took me along to her traditional music ensemble. It was lots of fun and made me want to play accordian. Or just have my clarinet back. I didn't think the standard of the groups was very good but their enthusiasm made me want to play. Hopefully between Maryline and the teacher, I'm going to be found a clarinet. Looking forward to it!
