How could I have missed it? Bert says it has been here for at least a year.

After a morning walk I did household chores. Although the house was kept clean by Bert during his 'Corona hiding', there are those spaces, corners, where we hardly get to clean up. An attic where we bring everything and where half of my studio now looks more like a storage place and the tubes of paint lie untouched between books, boxes and plastic tubs on the drawing board. I wonder how I should have had time to cycle for four weeks.
In the five days with the boy, the girl and the Poodle I didn't need to do anything. Maybe that's what vacation means. Being at home means dealing with overdue tasks. That's no holiday.
