Unexpected guest

This afternoon we found a pigeon on our balcony, seemed he was very tired and maybe lost.
He wasn't afraid at all, I gave him some water and oatmeal, but he didn't touch before he felt in sleep.
This morning he had left, we noticed he was ringed, so hope he'll find his way back home again.
Two years ago we had another pigeon stayed overnight, he was also ringed with a telephone number on it, so we phoned the owner in Germany.
Next day he was still here when the son of the owner picked him up.
