In the AOG Stadium

In spite of high temps and high humidity, things were abuzz at the AOG NJ Stadium today.  The excitement is palpable as the athletes get ready for the upcoming Games.  And, because all the athletes need to keep their energy up, the Pollen Cafe was bustling.  Seen here is a member of Team Potter Wasp (Euodynerus hidalgo) buzzing up to an empty seat at the bar.  Social distancing is being observed in almost all cases, I'm happy to report.

In a show of bravado, Team Great Golden Digger Wasp has told Team Chipmunk that they intend to bury (pun intended) them in the Burrowing Event - this will be a very closely watched competition, not to be missed.  Meanwhile, the Finches on both Team Goldfinch and Team House Finch are working tirelessly on their Seed Cracking skills.  They both need to keep an eye on Team Cardinal, though... just sayin'.

The report from Hubs at the Poconos Raceway is that the car is still having issues with stalling out over 100 MPH - and that is a problem if one plans to race.  So, we shall see...

Really enjoyed a nice long talk with my parents this morning.  Just got a text from Dad - they are now in downtown Portland geo caching.  Temps there are headed to 100 this afternoon so they will make it an early day.
