I see a little silhouette...

Today started wet (bottom right) as we threw the bags into the bag of the car and headed for the ferry! Luckily the rain soon cleared and it was dry by the time we’d crossed Loch Fyne and it’s been cloudy with sunny spells all day since.

We’ve had a slow meander around the western side of the peninsula, stopping hither and thither as the mood took us. Featured in the collage are Old Castle Lachlan, which was looking pretty derelict...though it does date from the 1400s. The castle was home to the Chiefs of the Maclachlan Clan until 1746 and was abandoned following the Jacobite defeat and death of the 17th Chief at the battle of Culloden. A derelict cottage at Garbhallt; Modan’s Well which was situated up a rather steep hill near Glendaruel and a silhouette selfie over the Lachlan river.
