Nicht atop o' Birsley Brae

Charlie chummed me to drop Samuel off at Players this evening and on the way back we took the back road up Birsley Brae. From here you can see a panora that spans out east beyond East Lothian into the North Sea, all along the Fife coast line to the Forth Bridges and the northern half of Edinburgh. Honest. What you're looking at above is basically that panorama and it's reflection on the roof of my car.

The bright spot in the middle is the flame or burn-off from some heavy industrial process taking place inland towards Clackmannanshire. I tried persuading Charlie that we were looking at Mordor and that was the flames of Mount Doom. Charlie preferred to think it was the result of some huge bomb that had been dropped on Fife.
