It’s complicated

The Dizzle’s new apartment building has a floor for socialising and study which is pretty huge and very trendy in design, including a rather magnificent set of old plumbing and electrics by way of an artistic installation.

Seeing the lad off on his new adventure bought out complicated emotions in all of us, but we got some beer and pizza in and then said our goodbyes. The house is of course now quiet - too quiet ...

Had a good lie-in today. Much needed.

Finished reading Rebel Ideas by Matthew Syed, which is a case study based book about how humans in healthy groups and societies network and improve their ideas and behaviours, not just through tolerating difference but by embracing diversity.  The opposite is groupthink and distrust of outside or divergent opinions.

One more day - my usual non-working Monday - then back to work. Been a good few days...
