First social event post lockdown

This morning Xena got a good walk, as yesterday she had spent so long in the car and was so good about it that I felt she deserved a really good walk today. After that it was a lazy morning, although I did some ironing and Gavin washed the cars.

This afternoon we went to see friends at their house for an early supper. The weather was pleasant enough to sit outdoors with drinks and starters and then we ate the main meal inside - it was delicious! I took a quick photo of us sitting apart outside - it is lovely to be able to see friends again.

That is another weekend gone by in a flash - Gavin is back in the office tomorrow, he is currently going in to the office about twice or three times a week - but only about 10% of staff are going in, with everyone else still working from home.

We booked our Euro tunnel crossing for next month to go to Switzerland. I knew that many people are driving to Europe to avoid flying so I expected bookings to be tight but I never expected the cost to have soared by 3 times the normal amount! Not good when a company takes advantage of the situation like this, it's outrageous, but then I suppose it is a simple case of supply and demand.
