Fading

My thank you flowers are almost more lovely as they fade than they were when I brought them home. I do like flowers which provide multiple blips. There was dead-heading of roses required this morning following yesterday's downpours and it has thankfully remained dry today. A load of washing done, dried and ironed ready for some of it to be packed later this week. I stayed awake 'til gone midnight last night to finish off a book and have started another today. It's not on the holiday pile so has been chosen as a quick read. The lockdown reading pile is now quite extensive but will travel to the other side this week before it has to become two piles.
